Ian Smith was born and raised in Delaware, spending most of his life across the Northeast region between NJ, PA, DC, MD, VA, WV & NC. A proud husband, father, and rescue dog owner, Ian has been a part of the mortgage industry for nearing a decade. In his short but fulfilling career, he has been a Loan Officer, Sales Manager, Branch Manager, and has most recently served for years in upper management as a Divisonal Account Manager for our company's entire N.E. Division. He is known by most on social media as "Ian The Mortgage Guy", dedicated to helping all types of people from First Time Home Buyers, Experienced Homeowners, Real Estate Investors, and everyone in between.

Reverse MortgagesA reverse mortgage loan, like a traditional mortgage, allows homeowners to borrow money using their home as security for the loan. A Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM), the most common type of reverse mortgage, is a special type of home loan only for homeowners who are 62 and older.
