Marlene was great throughout this process; however AFN proved to be quite challenging to work with. Our mortgage sat in underwriting for an incredibly long time and there was severe lack of communication from the co re: what info was needed from us to complete our loan approval. The group knew we were working against a 4/18 close date and did not respect this timeline. Our loan was only approved once we got Sr. execs at AFN involved. The whole process was unnecessarily stressful & unpleasant

Everything went great, no hang ups or delays and I was walked through the process so I understood everything

I am not upset with Marlene. I am upset with the way this transaction happened. It was disorganized and really just a huge mess. All parties involved were unhappy. This goes from the seller all the way to the title company and everyone in between. The seller works for a local mortgage company so this was extremely embarrassing. It has been over a week and the funds FINALLY were released and I am no longer being flagged as a terrorist just because of my name. Hooray!
